The USO is present in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho as the USO Northwest through three centers. First, SeaTac Center operates 24/7 and serves 150,000 travelling service members and their families annually. The USONW's second facility located at McChord Airfield on Joint Base Lewis McChord, the Shali Center, serves deployments and homecomings. The USONW's third center, the Mobile Canteen, travels to remote military locations throughout the Northwest providing moral services and programs.

The USONW is a non-profit organization providing all the comforts of home to military members and their families. Through various programs and services the USONW provided support to over 530,000 military members and their families annually without any government funding.

The Capital Campaign Enduring Support

The USONW facilities must be remodeled and expanded to sustain our level of service and programs for years to come. Each has been in use for an extended period of time with little or no renovation or refurbishment. With an increased usage of 400% since 2005 it is critical the centers be upgraded and maintained.

SeaTac Center

Through a partnership with the Port of Seattle, the Enduring Support Campaign will build within vacated space allowing for a larger footprint within which to address increased service needs as well as greater visibility and access within SeaTac International Airport. Enhancements in the areas of food services, sleeping accommodations, shower facilities and separate family relaxation areas are high prioities.
Projected Cost: $1.7 million

Shali Center

A complete renovation of the Shali Center concluded in November, 2012. Amenities and events at the center, available free of charge, include troop care package distribution, troop deployments and homecoming celebrations that include hot meals and snacks.
Project Cost: $384,000

Mobile Canteen

Traveling around Washington state and beyond providing moral support directly for the troops for deployments and homecomings will be increased with the addition of a second Mobile Canteen.
Projected Cost: $700,000
